Two people are headed to Gympie Hospital after their heavy vehicle veered off the road and rolled over at Wallu Monday afternoon.

Fireys, police and paramedics were called the crash on Maryborough Cooloola Road about 6km north of its turn off from Tin Can Bay Road.

A Queensland ambulance spokeswoman said the two patients were being taken to hospital as a precaution for possible spinal injuries.

Police and fireys were investigating a possible fuel leak following the crash, which happened just after 3pm.
