Mick Willett revealed as driver killed in Kybong truck crash
A well known truck driver and former meat worker from the Gympie region has been revealed as the victim of a tragic accident on the old Bruce Highway.

Popular Gympie truck driver and former meat worker Mick Willett has been revealed as the 50-year-old man tragically killed when his tip truck rolled over into a ditch, hitting a tree off the Old Bruce Hwy at Kybong on Tuesday.
Mr Willett had been travelling south along the road about 12.18pm when the crash happened near the intersection of Tandur Rd, not far from the site of the old Puma service station about 16km south of Gympie.
The truck came to a rest on its side, with its cabin crashed into the tree.
Fire fighters stabilised the vehicle with a rope and fought to free Mr Willett from the cabin with hydraulic cutters, with initial reports from QAS saying he was in a critical condition.
The rescue chopper was called in but ultimately rerouted.
The southbound lane of the Old Bruce Highway was closed for several hours while emergency crews remained at the scene.
Police are investigating the circumstances around the crash and calling for any witnesses.
