Trapped rushed to hospital after crash near Amamoor

Multiple emergency crews have rushed to the scene of a crash near Amamoor where was freed after being trapped in a car. This is what we know.

A driver in his 20s trapped in their crashed car on the Mary Valley Highway has been freed and transported by ambulance to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital on Friday morning.

The man became trapped inside his car following a single-vehicle crash near Amamoor.

Multiple paramedic crews were called at 6.49am to Mary Valley Road to attend the scene.

The patient was “fully encapsulated” and in a stable condition, a QAS spokesperson said just before 8am.

The man suffered neck injuries and was taken to SCUH.
