When it comes to job hunting across the Gympie region, a decade-low jobless rate has not put a dent in the market with an array of employers crying out for help across the region.
The latest available figures reveal unemployment across the Gympie region is at its lowest point in at least a decade.
As of the December 2022 quarter the region’s unemployment rate was 5.4 per cent, with 1276 people still looking for work.
This was 300 less the number of people seeking work in December 2021.
This low figure was still lagging the unemployment rates across Queensland (3.9 per cent), regional Queensland (3.6 per cent) and Australia (3.7 per cent).
There were still plenty of jobs available across Gympie despite the low unemployment rate too.
