Gympie Regional Council will spend about $420,000 in upgrades on community assets over the next few months, with tenders for upgrades on the Kilkivan to Kingaroy rail trail and Lower Wonga Hall.
The council has put aside $223,352 to build a reinforced concrete pedestrian and bicycle bridge across the Wide Bay Creek on the 89km rail trail.
The second project involves upgrading the kitchen and wastewater services at the Lower Wonga Hall on the Wide Bay Highway, near Abel Road.
A total of $200,000 has been earmarked for the improvements.
The work is being funded by the State Government through the Works for Queensland program.
The tender for the hall upgrades closes in the last week of May and the rail trail bridge offer closes in the first week of June.
