Wests bag win

WESTS were able to bag first innings points against Valleys before being washed out at the weekend.

WESTS were able to bag first innings points against Valleys before being washed out at the weekend.

Valleys resumed on 5 for 79 and struggled to find lasting form with the bat, falling short of Wests’ total after managing 124.

Unlike Harlequins against Colts, Wests were fortunate to remove Valleys before a storm forced umpires to call the day’s play early, therefore avoiding a drawn result.

Helping Wests rip through Valleys’ batting order was the four wicket haul of Scott Reedman.

Reedman was in devastating form with the ball, taking his four wickets from six overs.

The win, meanwhile, has helped Wests cement itself in second place behind competition leaders Colts on the A Grade competition ladder.

Fixtures will resume in the New Year.
