THE final round match between Wests and Colts was pulled up short at the weekend owing to rain.
Wests were in the middle of their first innings when play was called after 42 overs.
The team was sitting on 7 for 185, mostly due to the incredible batting efforts of an in-form Scott Reedman.
Reedman was left hanging on 118 not out, showing plenty of form in the wet conditions.
The batsman toyed with the Colts bowling attack, using plenty of angles and power hitting to muscle his way over the century mark.
Reedman’s stand before rain washed the match out included 12 fours and two sixes.
Best with the ball for Colts, although unable to thwart Reedman’s fine stand at the crease, was Ryan Gotke with figures of 3-42.
Wests are sitting on top of the competition ladder with the arrival of the final round and will be seeking to take out the minor premiership over Harlequins, who are trailing behind in second by the barest of margins.
It is more than likely both teams will round out the final with Colts some distance behind in third.
