SCOTT Reedman had a nervous wait before he was given the chance to complete a match-winning hat-trick on Saturday for a rejuvenated Wests outfit.
The Wests all-rounder grabbed two wickets in the last two balls of his fifth over against Colts on Saturday, before watching team-mate Craig Millard bowl six deliveries to Colts' remaining two batsmen.
"(I was thinking) whether I'd get the chance to bowl again or not," Reedman said.
"I thought Craig would have taken the last wicket before I had a chance to bowl again."
But in a thrilling finish to Colts first innings, Reedman completed his hat-trick by trapping tail-ender Dean Chandler in front lbw, after Millard's over passed without incident
The wicket also gave Wests their second first innings win in a row, as Colt's 95 runs fell 61 runs short of Wests total of 156.
Reedman said the side were happy to have recorded two wins going into the beginning of the one-day competition this weekend.
West started the year with four straight losses, but have found themselves back on track after defeating Harlequins last round.
The hat-trick wasn't Reedman's only stroke of good fortune on the weekend.
He and a friend picked up $900 each in a poker machine win on Friday night, despite missing out on another hat-trick opportunity in the Saturday's second innings.
