THE weekend is shaping up to be a fine one in the Gympie region, weather forecaster James Thompson says.
Following a pattering of rain on Thursday night, the kiss of spring will be in the air with clear skies and top temperatures of 24 expected for Saturday and Sunday.
The minimum temperature is expected to reach 7 degrees.

Any showers will remain off-shore, with only a slight chance of a sprinkling in Gympie or Rainbow beach.
The winds should remain low compared to last weekend, the Bureau of Meteorology forecaster said, so the temperatures will accurately reflect feeling to the skin.
