A 45-year-old male Senior Constable from Queensland Police Service’s Southern Region has been stood down from all official duties and issued a notice to appear.
The officer will be facing charges of permitting another to drive while unlicensed and will appear in Gympie Magistrates Court on September 2.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said in keeping with their commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, they were informing the public when an officer faced serious allegations of misconduct.
“This does not mean the allegations against the officer have been substantiated,” the spokesperson said.
