A woman in her 40s suffered a “significant” arm injury after an ATV rollover on a private property at Kandanga Creek, south of Gympie.

The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter became involved in the response effort, in order to airlift the victim to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

The incident was reported just before 10am Sunday.

The woman was in a stable condition.

According to Lifeflight, it is believed the driver of the ATV had been attempting to make a turn at low speed, when they lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.

The patient was front passenger.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics, Queensland Fire and Emergency Service firefighters and Queensland Police Service officers were on the scene when the aeromedical team arrived.

The injured woman flew under the care of an RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and QAS Flight Paramedic.
