QAS on scene as beach-goers stranded at Rainbow Beach

Two beach-goers got caught up in the rising tide at Carlo Sandblow walk, leading to an urgent rescue effort.

Emergency crews were in the process of rescuing two beach-goers who became stranded at Rainbow Beach on Sunday morning.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said as the tide rose at 10.15am, two people became stuck on Carlo Sandblow walk.

The two were reportedly not injured and rescue efforts were ongoing as of 11am.
