It was a busy night for emergency services in Gympie overnight after crews were called to the scene of a dramatic shed fire only moments after attending a snakebite victim.

Witching hour proved busy for emergency services in Gympie overnight, with multiple call-outs across the region.
The night began close to midnight when Queensland Ambulance Service crews were called to Gunalda after a man in his 60s was reportedly bitten by a snake at a private residence.
The man was transported to the Gympie Hospital in a stable condition, but the night didn’t end there.
Shortly after midnight, multiple emergency crews were called to Messmate Road following reports of a shed fire at 12:29am.
Five Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews attended the scene of a 20m x 10m machinery shed which had caught alight.
The steel structure proved hard work for fire services who worked until 2:30am to knock down and extinguish the blaze.
Ambulance crews attended to a man with burns on his arms and shoulders before transporting him to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.
