The search for two people in the wake of a car crash on a suburban Gympie street 1km from the city centre has reportedly ended.

Two people are reportedly helping police with their inquiries into a crash on a quiet suburban Gympie street Wednesday morning which left a woman with leg and arm injuries.

Emergency crews including fireys and paramedics were called to the scene of the crash at Thomas St, about a kilometre from the CBD, at 10.13am after a white Hyundai Getz rolled onto its roof.

A QAS spokeswoman said a woman of unknown age was taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition following the crash.

Police then began searching for two people who were reported to have fled the scene of the crash.

By 1pm police said they were speaking with two people who were assisting them, and no further patrols or searches were underway.

The section of road between Musgrave St and Mulcahy Terrace was closed for about 30 minutes as they cleared the wreckage.
