Richard James Markos charged with fraud, drug supply offences
A Gympie man has faced court accused of supplying dangerous drugs to minors as well as fraud and weapons offences.

A Monkland man has been remanded in custody on 33 charges involving drugs, fraud and weapon offences.
Richard James Markos, 29, sat quietly in the dock as his matter was heard in Gympie Magistrates Court on Friday, June 30, with several supporters present in the public gallery.
Mr Markos made no application for bail.
He is charged with 15 counts of fraud (dishonest application of property of another by employee), seven counts of aggravated supply of dangerous drugs to a minor 16 years or more, two counts of authority required to possess explosives, two counts of possessing dangerous drugs, and two counts of unlawful possession of suspected stolen property

Mr Markos has been further charged with one count each of contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically, possessing utensils or pipes for use, receiving or possessing property obtained from trafficking or supplying drugs, unlawfully possessing a weapon category A, B, or M, and unlawfully possessing a relevant substance or thing.
No details of the alleged offending were revealed in court, and no plea was entered.
Mr Markos will face Gympie Magistrates Court next on July 17, 2023, by videolink from custody.
