Police respond to weapon reports at Curra, Gympie region
A major police response to reports of an armed person in a Gympie neighbourhood has ended with more questions than answers.
Police say they were unable to find any suspects amid claims a person was wielding a weapon at Curra on Wednesday morning.
Officers rushed to Rodney Rd, about 15km northwest of Gympie, shortly before 9am after receiving “unconfirmed” reports of the person in the area.
Police said late Wednesday responding officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.
