Terror in Gympie street as would-be car thief fires gun
Police are on the hunt for a man who tried to steal a car from a local suburb, and shot a gun when he was disturbed by two residents.

Police are on the hunt for a man who tried to steal a car from a Gympie home and then fired a gun as he fled the scene.
Police said investigations were underway into the incident, which happened at a home near the intersection of Rifle Range and Scotts Rds on Tuesday, September 19.
In a statement they said about 5pm two men disturbed a third man while he was trying to steal parked car.
They challenged the man, who then pulled out and fired a gun before fleeing in a silver coloured sedan.
No-one was injured in the incident.
Police have urged anyone who may have been driving along Rifle Range Rd and has dashcam footage to contact officers.
