Shocking images of the moment a Gympie dad was allegedly confronted and stabbed in his front yard by an armed gang has been caught on camera.

Pictures tendered to the court as part of 19-year-old Ben Colin Buggy’s bail application have been obtained by the Gympie Times and show a group of five men arriving at the Parsons Rd home of boxing coach Danny Hawkins and the violent exchanges that follow.

At one point, Mr Hawkins is surrounded by the group which includes a man wearing knuckle dusters on his hand and another brandishing a large silver machete.

The images were taken from video allegedly captured by a witness.

Mr Buggy has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

His father, 45-year-old Israel Colin Buggy, brother, 23-year-old Bronson Israel Buggy and 23-year-old Callum Robert McClay have also been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.

Mr McClay also faces charges of possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils.

In the first image tendered to the court, three of the four men accused, and an unnamed fifth man who has not been charged, can be seen arriving at the Hawkins home.

The police prosecutor said this was taken shortly before Mr Hawkins was allegedly stabbed the first time.

A large machete can again be seen being brandished by one of the accused men in the fourth photo.

Ben Buggy’s application for bail was refused.

The police prosecutor told the court the 19-year-old was the only one of the four accused men who was unarmed.

A Snapchat post sent from an account attributed to Mr Buggy was of particular concern to Magistrate Chris Callaghan and ultimately led to the rejection of bail.

The message told someone who went to the Hawkins’s home after the alleged stabbing “your house is next c---”.

Solicitor Laura Nightingale told the court Mr Buggy denied being the to make the comment.

Bronson Buggy, Israel Buggy and Callum McClay did not apply for bail.
