A road north of Gunalda is blocked to traffic after a man was assessed by paramedics at the scene of a sugar cane truck rollover this morning.

The sugar cane truck rolled on Old Gympie Road and was positioned across the roadway when emergency services arrived.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesperson said two crews arrived on scene at 5:30am and spent nearly an hour there.

The patient wasn’t trapped inside, was uninjured in the crash and didn’t require transport to hospital.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said both lanes were blocked and diversions were in place as of 6:55am on August 17.
