Man allegedly stabbed in fight at Southside home

Police and paramedics were called to a home on the Southside overnight where they found a man with stab wounds to his chest, and other injuries.

A fight between two men at a Southside home has ended with one of them in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed overnight.

Police said the men, both in their 30s and known to each other, were at the Stumm Rd address after 8pm when they began to fight.

The fight turned physical, and police said one suffered a wound to the upper chest.

Paramedics were called to the home at 8.42pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man also suffered minor lacerations in the incident.

He was taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.

No arrests have been made and police investigations are continuing.
