Alan James Lace charged trafficking after raid reveals $1.4M of meth
A Queensland man has been charged with almost two dozen drug trafficking, weapons and stealing offences following a police raid that allegedly uncovered more than $1 million in meth.

A 56-year-old man facing almost two dozen charges for alleged trafficking, weapons and motor vehicle thefts will remain in custody after he declined to apply for bail.
Alan James Lace, of Blacksnake, is facing 23 charges following his arrest on Sunday June 9 at the regional property near Kilkivan, about 50km west of Gympie.
Duty lawyer Chris Anderson told the court Mr Lace would not be applying for bail at this time.
Mr Lace did not appear in person at the hearing.
A brief of evidence was ordered to be completed by police and handed across to Mr Lace by the end of July.
Mr Anderson told the court he would help Mr Lace with an application for legal aid.
Mr Lace’s matter will then return to the court on Monday, August 19, 2024.
He is not required to appear in person or by video link, and no pleas have been entered.
Mr Lace is facing 23 charges including six counts of possessing dangerous drugs (including one count each relating to schedule 1 or schedule 2 drugs), three counts of possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, two counts of unlawful possession of a motor vehicle, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, and one count each of possessing a shortened firearm, possessing explosives (ammunition), drug trafficking, possessing property obtained by trafficking or supplying drugs, producing dangerous drugs, possessing property suspected of being the proceeds of a crime, buying or possessing S4 or S8 medicines, break-and-enter, possessing tainted property, and failing to dispose of a needle and syringe

Mr Lace was arrested with two other people, a 45-year-old Nambour man and 61-year-old Yandina woman, after police executed a search warrant at the rural home.
The Sunshine Coast pair were offered drug diversion, police said in a media release about the arrests Wednesday.
They allege between $900,00 and $1.4 million of meth, three rifles, three stolen cars, 510g of marijuana, $123,350 in cash, and various “suspect” acids were found at the property.
