Multiple crews on scene of Bruce Hwy crash south of Gympie

A motorbike rider in his 30s has suffered a significant head injury in a crash at Kybong.

Emergency service crews are treating a man in his 30s following a motorcycle crash on the Bruce Highway south of Gympie at Kybong.

The man reported suffered a significant laceration to his head, and a leg injury after his motorcycle crashed about midday on Monday.

The male motorcyclist in his 30s was heading northbound on the Bruce Highway when the crash occurred.

A QAS spokesperson said just before 1pm the man was conscious and stable, but he had suffered a significant head laceration and a leg injury.

The man was transported to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.
