Motorbike rider airlifted after serious crash at Glen Echo Park

A teenage boy has been flown to the Sunshine Coast after suffering a significant leg injury when he was thrown from his motorbike at popular motorsport park Glen Echo, near Gympie.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the crash on Glen Echo Rd about 10.53am on Tuesday.
It’s believed the boy crashed his motorbike onto a raised corner of the track.
The LifeFlight helicopter landed close to the scene and the LifeFlight critical care doctor, flight paramedic and local Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated him for a significant leg injury.
He was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
