A driver has had a lucky escape from serious harm after the 4WD he was in left the road and smashed into the side of a Gympie Regional Council building in the city centre.
Multiple emergency crews were called to the crash, near the Nash St intersection with Channon St and next door to the RSL sub branch’s offices, about 1.45pm Tuesday.
A QAS spokeswoman said a man was uninjured in the crash.
No other injuries had been reported.
The building is owned by the council, but does not contain any offices.
