Man suffers serious leg injury after bike hits jetski trailer at Rainbow Beach

Man, in his 60’s, transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, after paramedics and a rescue helicopter rushed to the scene of a serious crash at Rainbow Beach.

The LifeFlight rescue helicopter rushed to Rainbow Beach after a man suffered “significant” leg injuries when his motorcycle collided with a jetski trailer at Rainbow Beach.

The crew landed at an oval near the incident scene and worked with the local paramedics to treat the man for leg injuries, a RACQ LifeFlight spokesperson said.

The patient, in his 60s, was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

The rider was travelling along Karoonda Rd when the collision occurred.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesperson said the man was being assessed for “significant” lower limb injuries as a result of the crash.
