One of Gympie’s most popular, award-winning dentists, is moving homes.
Jacaranda Family Dental owners Adam and Sam Bradshaw have revealed the popular family practice will be moving across the Mary River, from the Southside Shopping Centre to the Bruce Hwy.
The Bradshaws are the new owners of the former home of Supercheap Auto, and are in the process of turning it into the clinic’s new home early in 2023.
Mrs Bradshaw told the Gympie Times finally having these plans in place on the back of almost a decade of hard work – the celebrated its eighth birthday on Monday – was “phenomenal”.
“We feel beyond proud,” she said.
The couple started their search in 2016 having rapidly hit capacity at their Southside clinic.
“We’ve looked at a lot of places,” Mrs Bradshaw said.
“We’re thrilled to have made this happen.
“We were ready to be our own landlords.”
The old Supercheap building would remain, she said, but its interior would be extensively renovated.
They also owned the land behind the old Supercheap Auto building which fronted Barter St.
Having the two blocks provided an easy solution to any parking concerns their patients may have.
“We wanted to make it easy on our patients,” Mrs Bradshaw said.
“We’re looking to begin construction shortly.
“Our new site will allow us to expand our ability to provide more of the specialised services such as orthodontics … along as catering for the usual dental services.”
This opened the door to adding staff on top of the two dozen employees already working with the clinic.
She said anyone who recently moved to Gympie “or was looking to relocate” and has experience in the dental field to contact the clinic.
“It’s nice to be in a position to increase our capacity with patients.”
