IT'S a long way to the back if you want to rock and roll in this crazy Hummer.

And rock and roll you will. The eight-metre long, V8 beast is a virtual mobile disco complete with laser light show, light up floor, fibre optic reflective ceiling, three wet bars, four televisions, karaoke, ear bursting sound system, LED messaging system, touch sensitive lighting and enough room to seat 12 party animals in leather climate controlled comfort.

You can even hook up the latest Xbox or Playstation if you look like getting bored.

The long white Hummer has enough creature comforts to carry the likes of Britney Spears or Justin Timberlake around in rock star style.

And that's what Gympie car importing and conversion company Performax is hoping it will do.

Performax general manager Nick Vanderberg said the company imported the extra- long Hummer from America and has converted it to right- hand drive as a test and evaluation vehicle.

“We've converted the vehicle and now are trying to get compliance approval,” Mr Vanderberg said.

He said the Hummer would retail for about $285,000 and Performax was aiming the vehicle toward professional limousine companies.

“Down south, limousines similar to these are getting hired out for around $700 an hour for weddings and the like.

“When you think about it you could get 12 people together share the cost and have a great time,” he said.
