Gympie emergency crews attend two-vehicle crash in Chapple St
Traffic through a mostly commercial street in the heart of Gympie was blocked for a time on Thursday after a collision at the corner of Chapple and Ray Streets.

A woman was taken to Gympie Hospital after a truck and car collided at the t-intersection of Ray and Chapple Sts in the heart of the city just after midday on Thursday.
Tyre marks and car tail or headlight protector debris were left scattered along the street.
The Ray St sign was knocked from its stump and lying across the street verge.

The crash happened in the street that services a mostly commercial area of Gympie and runs parallel to the Old Gympie Train Station opposite Fisherman’s Hall.
One woman was transported to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition with reported back pain, a Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said.
Chapple St was reopened to traffic about 12:45pm, about half an hour after the incident, a Queensland Police spokesperson said.
