ONE very lucky Gympie person is sitting on $2 million and doesn't even know it yet after taking out a division one share in last night's Powerball draw.

Golden Casket is urging Gympie Powerball customers who bought a registered ticket for last night's draw to check their entry immediately because one third of the $6 million division one prize could belong to them.

The winning ticket was purchased from Nextra Gympie in Gympie Central Shopping Centre on a Winners Circle Card, but it appears the contact details of the card are no longer up to date, Golden Casket confirmed.

"It's a waiting game at the moment," Nextra sales assistant Olivia Wilkinson told The Gympie Times, adding it was the first time the store had sold a division one winning ticket.

"We're all wondering who sold the ticket."

And just what line-up did the winner have to predict to become $2 million richer?

Ms Wilkinson said the winner had to guess the six numbers 31, 25, 9, 28, 17, 10 and the additional Powerball number of 2.

She is urging everyone to check their tickets and come and claim the $2 million prize because the staff at Nextra would love to put a face to the winning numbers (and so would The Gympie Times..)
