Gympie’s best pub feed poll winner announced

Fourteen pub feeds across the Gympie region were nominated as the best in town, but there can only be one winner - and that was decided by a poll. Here are the results:

Who doesn’t love a good pub feed? Whether it’s devouring a perfectly done parmi or chomping down on a juicy steak, there is no disputing the fact pubs serve some of the best meals around, and usually for a reasonable price.

When The Gympie Times put the call out on Facebook, there were more than 70 comments suggesting which businesses made the best feeds, and now the votes on our poll have revealed a winner.

After a week of voting, with more than 100 local participants, the winner has been declared as the Mount Pleasant Hotel.

The Mt Pleasant Hotel has been voted by Gympie Times readers as the best pub feed in town. Congratulations!

Coming in second was the Bunker Smokehouse, followed by the Phoenix Hotel and Charlie’s Hotel.

The Mount Pleasant Hotel was the most popular at 22 votes out of a total of 113.
