You could hear the cheering from miles away at the Gympie Showgrounds, as thousands turned out dressed in their best for the annual Gympie Times Ladies Race Day.
The sun was shining and the birds were singing as a sea of fascinators and fancy dresses flooded the Showgrounds for the special day.
Upstairs in the pavilion, Landline journalist Pip Courtney appeared as a special guest for the Ladies Luncheon, where she spoke about her life and the highs and lows of her job.
