At about 11am on Saturday, November 27, a blue Toyota Corolla Ascent driving in an easterly direction on Exhibition Road, Southside was rear-ended by a silver Toyota dual cab utility.

The ute did not attempt to brake, did not stop to exchange details and left the scene, police say.

They are investigating the matter and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the traffic crash or have any dashcam vision around that time, to contact Policelink and quote QP2102210866.

At about 6pm on Friday, October 29, police say two women damaged and removed an unsecured toilet window and climbed into a home on Cooloola Drive at Rainbow Beach.

Once inside, one of the women opened the doors to the garage and went in, while the other unknown woman went to the kitchen and dining room.

Both then later left the house via the front door after the home occupant received a security alert and triggered an alarm.
