Covid cases across the Gympie are sill rising as the region records 40 new cases as of Friday, February 18.
This comes after the state recorded 5795 new cases and nine new recorded deaths overnight on Thursday night.
The Gympie region has now had 1613 cases.
Queensland Health has not yet confirmed if any of the 12 deaths were in the Gympie region.
