Gympie Best Of: Where is Gympie’s best pub feed 2024

The Gympie region has a myriad of awesome country and modern ‘pubs’ and ‘clubs’ serving some of the best meals around, and usually for a reasonable price. But we want to find out where the very best is served. Vote in our poll:

Out of our 14 finalists, nominated by 125 commenters on social media, who will be voted the Best Pub Feed in Gympie of 2024.

In Australia, pub food is generally the same no matter what part of the country you are in.

Almost all pubs will have some form of burger, steak, fish and chips, and chicken parmigiana.

While many believe chicken parmigiana is the most popular pub food in Australia, there are plenty who will tell you theirs is steak or fish and chips.

Whatever you prefer, there is no disputing the fact that pubs across the Gympie region serve some of the best meals around, and usually for a reasonable price.

But where is the best pub feed in the Gympie region?

We put the call out to our social media followers and 125 commenters have nominated a final list of 14 finalists for the best pub feed.

We have stretched the poll to include a couple of local “clubs” which are essentially pubs, but that is all. The rest are hotels. The Gold Nugget was also nominated but is not a pub or a club, so was not included.

We went to The Australian Hotel Gympie for dinner a few nights ago and the meals were amazing, chefs were super friendly and accommodating to my little one’s allergy as well. We also love the fact that they have a kiddies corner.

Mount pleasant excellent food and service.

Would have to be The Phoenix, but I think the Freemasons would be an easy winner if they were still around, the food there was always so yummy.

Jockey Club.

Gympie Sports Club, had lunch there several times, always great food, friendly staff, great atmosphere.

Kandanga Country Club dinners in a lovely surrounding and you could even try some barefoot bowls beforehand.

Goomeri Hotel.

Ok I recommend the Apollonian Hotel. Great smoked meat meals.

The Queenslander Hotel and best of all they ‘home deliver’ for people like me who no longer drive! Thanks you guys, love ya Parmy’s & also Bacon & Mushroom Carbonara.
