Dashcam footage posted online by Jonathon Marshall has caught the extraordinary moments Mr Marshall and other drivers dashed to help after happening upon the burning vehicle stopped on the Bruce Highway’s shoulder about 6pm Monday.

As they try to battle the blaze, Mr Marshall pulls up beside them and dashes to help armed with a fire extinguisher.
He pulls the pin and, after dousing the back of the car, turns the extinguisher’s hose on the debris burning by the roadside.
Unable to fully extinguish the blaze he sprints back to his car and returns with a hoe to help battle the remaining firs still burning as other passers-by also arrive to help.

They each declined transport to hospital.
