Fred Brophy’s Boxing Troupe and Circus Rio Spectacular head to Gympie
Two massive touring events are set to pay Gympie a visit, much to the excitement of residents. One hasn’t been here in six years, and the other will stay for two weeks.

Two massive touring events are coming to Gympie in the next few months, much to the excitement of Gympie residents.
Circus Rio Spectacular, an all-new vent from Australia’s biggest touring big top, and Fred Brophy’s Boxing Troupe, which has not visited Gympie since 2015, are set to arrive in September and October.

Circus Rio Spectacular will be at the Gympie Showgrounds on the Southside from September 24 until October 10.
The event features a world-class line up of performers including Freestyle Motocross stunts, acrobatics, juggling, magic and comedy routines.

Meanwhile, Fred’s Brophy’s Boxing Troupe will be at Jack Stokes Oval in Monkland from October 8-9.
The event will be held under an enormous boxing tent and is the last one of its kind, where consenting audience members can fight with touring boxers from the troupe.
Well known Australian showman and boxing promoter Fred Brophy will referee the fights inside the tent, hosted by Gympie Devils.
The Football club expressed their excitement for hosting the event on social media, as the event has not come to Gympie in six years.
