Fire crews on scene at Lower Wonga house fire

Three fire crews are on scene at a house fire at a rural property west of Gympie with initial reports indicating there are visible flames and smoke billowing from the building.

Multiple fire crews have been called to a house fire at a rural property west of Gympie with initial reports indicating the structure was well alight with flames visible and smoke billowing from the building.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said three fire crews are at the Abel Rd blaze in Lower Wonga, with two more on the way and a further three if needed.

The fire occurred just after 12pm with the first crews arriving on scene about 12.50pm.

The QFD spokeswoman said crews confirmed a residential structure was “well involved in fire” with “smoke issuing from the building”.

Queensland Ambulance Service stated paramedics are on scene at the house fire and no patients have been reported at this time.

Queensland Police Service crews have also been called to the incident.
