A Gympie co-ordinator passionate about supporting women in the business world is launching an annual event to celebrate her fellow female entrepreneurs in the workplace.

We Rise Networking Gympie co-ordinator Ellen Hardy is hosting the Women in Business awards night at Yamba Realty on December 10, 2022 to “take celebrations to the next level” and encourage business networking.
Ms Hardy has been running a women’s networking in Gympie for two years and aims to make women feel loved, valued and celebrated.

Being in business can be lonely so it’s good to have a network of women to support you on the good days, the bad days, the days when you want to quit and on the days you want to celebrate, she said.
“No matter what stage of business you’re in, it’s important to have that in any community,” Ms Hardy said.
The event venue will be “bloody beautiful” in pink and gold with a red carpet, champagne, photo booth and food as well as gifts and door prizes.
Ms Hardy said guests would walk away with a “sugar high” following the event’s “desserts galore”.
Awards come with a prize from sponsors that support more local businesses and nominations close on December 1.
Ms Hardy said to “come in what you feel beautiful in” whether it be feathers and velvet or a summer dress.
