A 45-year-old convicted paedophile will front Gympie District court for the second time in a year, after allegedly breaching his suspended jail sentence.

Brad William Mitchell was set to appear in court on Thursday, May 6, but only his legal representative was present.

In July 2020, Mitchell pleaded guilty and was convicted of indecently dealing with a child under 16 and supplying alcohol to a minor while not being the adult responsible for her.

He was sentenced to six months in prison, which was suspended for two years, but will return to the Gympie District Court on Monday, July 19, for allegedly breaching his suspended sentence.
