A child has been hurt and a woman cut free from her car following a shocking two-car crash near Gympie.
First responders were called to the scene of the crash on Tin Can Bay Rd, near its intersection with Pomona Kin Kin Rd at Canina, about 1.50pm.
One of the cars rolled and landed in a ditch after colliding with the other vehicle.
Firefighters were forced to use cutting gear to free the woman, who reportedly suffered a chest injury in the crash.
She and the child were taken to Gympie Hospital in stable conditions.
The driver of the other vehicle declined treatment at the scene.
