Fire crews took about half an hour to extinguish a car fire on the Bruce Highway north of Gympie on Monday afternoon near the intersection of Greenhalgh Road.

Two fire crews arrived at the scene near Bells Bridge about 12.10pm on Tuesday, and police were already there, a Queensland Fire and Emergency spokesperson said.

She was unable to say what kind of make the vehicle was, except that it was a ute, and it is believed nobody was been hurt. The vehicle was facing south, so is believed to have been travelling south.
