UPDATE
One of two people involved in an earlier crash at Marys Creek in the Gympie region this afternoon has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.
QAS media reported one patient was airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition, following the crash which reportedly occurred near Marys Creek Road and Cross Road just after midday.
The other patient was taken by road to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.
QAS did not specify the injuries either patient suffered in the crash, described as a car impacting with a tree.

A rescue helicopter has been dispatched to the scene of a seemingly serious car crash at Marys Creek, in the Gympie region, as of early Saturday afternoon.
The Queensland Ambulance Service reported paramedics were assessing two patients at the scene of the single vehicle crash, after a car impacted with a tree near Marys Creek Road and Cross Road just after midday.
The rescue helicopter was on the way to the scene shortly after, per QAS media.
