Blake Steven Warren Jo Jaenke remanded in custody after alleged assault

A Gympie speedway racer will remain behind bars until his next court appearance following an alleged assault.

A young Gympie speedway racer was remanded in custody after an alleged assault on Thursday night.

Blake Steven Warren Jo Jaenke, 25, did not enter a plea nor did he make an application for bail in Gympie court on Friday.

Instead, he will return to court on Monday when it’s understood he will have had access to a lawyer.

Mr Jaenke is charged with three offences, including one charge of assault occasioning bodily harm.

The details of the alleged assault were not shared.
