THE weather Gods will be smiling on Muster-goers by the weekend, with clear skies predicted from Thursday onwards when the iconic country music festival in Amamoor State Forest gets going.

Showers are definitely on the cards over the next two days as a surface trough moves in from the west, Bureau of Meteorology forecaster James Thompson said , which will begin this afternoon and continue overnight into Wednesday.

Falls of 10mm are predicted for Tuesday and 20mm for Wednesday, but could be higher if thunderstorms hit overnight.

While there may be some showers lingering on Thursday morning, the good news for music lovers, is it should be clear and sunny from Thursday afternoon onwards.

The air mass ahead of the trough has been bringing warm nights and days, with temperatures just above the region's average for this time of year, but when the rain moves off on Thursday the day and hight time temperatures will drop slightly to about two degrees below average.
