A FINE few days are ahead of the Gympie region with mostly sunny conditions starting the week for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, forecasters say.
Following a foggy start to Monday morning due to light winds and moist conditions, a top of 23 is expected during the day, which is line with the average July temperatures for the region, Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Chris Joseph said.
Wednesday will see a maximum temperature of 25 degrees and possible showers developing on Thursday, Mr Joseph said.
Those by the coast can expect a 40% chance of rain and south easterly winds of about 10 - 15 knots and a sea swell to 1- 1.5m in the morning and decreasing to 1m in the morning.
SUNDAY 8am: It's a drizzly start to Sunday, but things could improve in the afternoon weather forecaster Vinord Anand of the Bureau of Meteorology said.
The chance of showers will remain in the area in the morning, the forecaster said, but by 1 o'clock will start to lift, showing improved conditions in the afternoon.
While a chance of showers will still remain throughout the day, it will not be as high as the sky clears.
A top of 23 is expected, which is line with the average July temperatures for the region and four degrees warmer than yesterday's maximum of 19 degrees, Mr Anand said.
A maximum of 23 is expected on Monday and Tuesday, with cloud forecast to hang around keeping the minimum temperature just slightly warmer than the average at 8 degrees.
If you're heading out on the water you can expect south easterly winds of about 10 - 15 knots and a sea swell to 1- 1.5m in the morning and decreasing to 1m in the afternoon.
Swells could reach 2.5m offshore, decreasing to 1.5-2.5m offshore on Monday.
