The Gympie Pavilion was alive with music on Tuesday, as the 2022 Gympie Eisteddfod enters its fifth day of performances.
School aged musicians from across the region filled the inside of the pavilion with melodic masterpieces for the adjudicators.
On Saturday, dozens of dancers took to the stage and dazzled the audience with their stunning displays for the eisteddfod’s second day of performances.
The Eisteddfod will showcase performances until August 5.
There are superb skills to see on stage from the soloists, but Sunday evening’s dance group performances have been described as unmissable, Gympie Eisteddfod president Thelma Reisenleiter said.
“All through the week, there is something that would appeal [to the audience],” Mrs Reisenleiter said.
There are five different sections full of eager performers – piano forte, vocal, speech and drama, instrumental and dance.
“You know it will be a beautiful, cultural week,” Ms Reisenleiter said.
Everyone is waiting for the excitement to start with the very first dance performances, with a collection of awards and prizes ready to be claimed.
