Police investigating after driver dies in truck rollover at Chinchilla

Emergency services assessed a driver who suffered life-threatening injuries, but he could not be saved.

A driver was entrapped after rolling his truck on a country road on Tuesday afternoon.

The Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a crash that killed a man at Chinchilla.

Emergency services were called to Greenswamp Road, just west of Chinchilla, at 4.35pm on Tuesday after a water truck rolled.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said several crews were on scene where the driver of the truck was found to be trapped inside the vehicle.

Firefighters worked to remove the man from the wreck with paramedics and police also on scene.

Sadly, the 28-year-old Tara man could not be saved.

Emergency crews were still working to clear the area at 7.30pm.
