ONE of the Gold Coast’s leading plastic surgeon has gone in to self-isolation after a New Zealand holiday – postponing all cosmetic procedures until he emerges from quarantine.
Dr John Flynn, the top surgeon at Southport’s Cosmedic Home and Skin Clinic, had been on holidays in New Zealand when the extreme new coronavirus response measures on international travel came into effect.

He cut short the holiday and is now in isolation for the next two weeks.
According to a statement posted on the business’s Facebook page on Tuesday, Dr Flynn has not fallen ill, but is simply observing the mandatory new self-isolation strategy brought in to effect on the weekend for returning international travellers.
Patients have already been advised that their consultations and procedures will be postponed for at least two weeks.
“We can assure you that he is well and will be returning to work on 1st April,” the statement reads.
“None of our nursing or administration staff have travelled recently, nor do they have plans to.
“Clients who are feeling unwell or who have travelled in the last two weeks are requested to reschedule their appointments.”
