A Gold Coast OnlyFans content creator has revealed she owed the Australian Taxation Office a whopping $593,122 tax during the last financial year in a video posted to TikTok yesterday. On Instagram Annie Knight describes herself “a little bit sweet, a little bit spicy” and states that her OnlyFans account is in the top 0.02 per cent of earners.

“I paid my tax bill and here’s proof. Could have brought a house with that, cry,” she said in the video.

“Also for any of those accountants saying you shouldn’t be paying so much tax, you don’t know how much I’m earning so how can you say I shouldn’t be paying that much tax. That’s a good amount of tax to be paying comparatively.”

The video has drawn criticism from commenters questioning the career choice of the TikToker.

“What is wrong with this world when a person like this earns that sort of money. We are doomed,” one commenter said.

“This video reminds me of slaves being made to stand around and watch their masters eat great food and enjoy life just to increase their suffering,” another commenter added.

“Why would you say ‘cry’. You would have had to make between 1.2 and 1.3 million just to pay 600k. That’s the minimum you have earned depending on whether you’ve paid instalments. You’re privileged,” a third TikTok user said.

Speaking to The Courier-Mail, Ms Knight said she wasn’t shocked after receiving her tax bill.

“I keep track of my taxes and what I owe throughout the year. I have a separate account where I transfer the required amount of tax each time I get paid from OnlyFans,” she said.

Despite the negative response to her video, Ms Knight said the comments are “understandable.”

“Four years ago, I would have been jealous of anyone earning over two million a year. Times are tough, and we’re in a cost-of-living crisis, but I work hard and deserve every cent I make,” she said.

“I became successful by working hard and thinking outside the box. I looked around, saw every creator doing the same thing, and thought, ‘What can I do differently?’ I made a list of things I could do that would make me stand out and implemented them, and within two months, I had increased my income tenfold.”
