POLICE have made a major breakthrough in the murder of Gold Coast bikie associate Max Waller.

The 28-year-old was found stabbed to death outside a Broadbeach apartment complex in June.

Friends vow to 'find who did this'

It later emerged he had links to the notorious Bandidos bikie gang.

Now, almost five months later, police have made a dramatic breakthrough in the case, seizing a car they believe was linked to the murder, from a Burleigh Waters address.

Forensic experts are now combing the vehicle for clues.

Mr Waller was killed on June 23 and his body found outside a block of units on Old Burleigh Rd.

Anyone with any information in to the murder is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
